Metal buildings in Reno, Texas
Rolled and built in Azle, 8.1 miles away.
Reno is eight miles from our gate and it is the large-lot capital of this end of Parker County: roughly thirteen square miles and about thirty-five hundred people. Almost everybody here has room for a shop, and most have the acreage to put it well away from the house.
26ga panel, $3.48/lin ft,
18 colors on the rack
Type your run and see the number. These are the published prices this site charges, not a range we quote against later.
Panel only — no trim, screws, closures or framing, and no tax. Each panel covers 3 ft of wall or roof, so a 30 ft wall takes 10 of them plus the overlap you plan for. Published prices are delivered prices with freight already inside them, so loading out at the yard in Azle costs less than this figure. Cut-to-length is rolled after you order, not pulled off a rack — call (817) 886-8172 before you drive out from Reno.
8.1 miles, about 20 minutes
FM 730 north, then SH 199 west. That is the whole trip. Come make it — the yard is open to the public Monday through Saturday, and looking at a panel profile in daylight beats looking at a swatch on a phone.

Why a building in Reno
is spec'd differently
There are two Renos in Texas. Ours is the Parker County one, at renotx.gov — the other is in Lamar County near Paris, and out-of-town companies keep putting the wrong jurisdiction on Reno quotes.
Reno City Hall uses an Azle mailing address on West Reno Road. One more reason the paperwork confuses people who do not work here.
The city is split between Azle ISD and Springtown ISD — one town, two districts, and two different sets of neighbors.
Eighteen minutes for eight miles is honest rural road geometry. It is still the second-closest town to our yard.
Population 3,489 — 2023 estimate — 2,878 at the 2020 census.
Who permits a building
in Reno
Most pages on this subject were written by a company in another state. Here is what we can stand behind, and where we will tell you to pick up the phone rather than guess.
Permits go through Building and Planning. We have not published a threshold or a process for Reno because we have not confirmed one, and a wrong permit answer costs you more than a slow one.
Reno runs its own Building and Planning department with online permit submission. Which categories apply to a carport or a metal building is not published, so ask.

We are not going to tell you Parker County does or does not require a building permit out here, because we have not confirmed it in writing and at least one competing page gets this exact question wrong. Call the county before you order, or call us at (817) 886-8172 and we will walk through it with you.
Confirmed as required regardless of any building permit:
- Septic / OSSF permit through the county Permitting Department
- Floodplain development permit inside a Special Flood Hazard Area
- 911 addressing for a new structure on a new drive
Not legal advice, and rules change. Confirm with the office before you pour concrete — or let us handle it, because permits are part of a dirt-to-finish contract.
Panel is priced above.
Buildings quoted in 24 business hours.
A building price moves with span, height, door openings and what the dirt looks like, so we put a real number on it in 24 business hours rather than publishing a figure that turns out not to apply to your lot. Tell us the dimensions you are thinking and we will price it.
Reno, answered
before you ask
Do I need a permit for a metal building in Reno, TX?
Reno handles building permits through Building and Planning, reachable at (817) 221-2500 ext. 108. We have not published a size threshold here because we will not guess at one — call them, or call us at (817) 886-8172 and we will point you at the right office for your address. Outside the city limits you are dealing with Parker County.
How far is Crestline from Reno?
Our yard is at 7620 Veal Station Rd, Azle, TX — 8.1 miles and about 20 minutes from Reno via FM 730 north, then SH 199 west. Open to the public Monday through Saturday, so you can look at the actual panel profiles and colors before you order.
What does metal roofing panel cost in Reno?
26ga panel starts at $3.48 per linear foot across 18 colors, and those are the published prices this site charges — not a range we quote against later. They are delivered prices with the freight already in them, so loading out at the yard costs less. Cut-to-length is rolled to order, so call (817) 886-8172 before you drive out.
Do you make the panel yourself, or order it in?
We roll it. The AG and PBR panels on your building come off our own line in Azle, cut to your length. We are not waiting on a supplier to ship, so a lead time is a date rather than a maybe, and the color you picked is the color that shows up.
Can I just buy the steel and build it myself in Reno?
Yes. Panels, trim, doors, windows, fasteners and anchors are sold over the counter, and we will drop a labeled kit on your slab if you would rather set it yourself. Same steel either way.
